In November 2007 Laura and her husband, David Brown, were happy to move and bring her to North Carolina and grant Edna's wish to spend the rest of her life where she was born.
She will be greatly missed in this life by daughter, Laura Adamczyk-Brown and her husband, David, of Mills River, N.C.; her only grandson, Robert G. Adamczyk Jr., his wife, Susan and their only child, Laura Ann of Woodbridge, Va.; and three brothers, Ralph Pierson of St. Simons Island, James Pierson of Green Cove Springs, Fla., and Jerry Pierson of Pisgah Forest, N.C.
Four brothers, Charlie, Frank, Edward and Henry; one sister, Alice Reece; and their parents, A.F. "Gus" and Susie Rogers Pierson passed on before her.
Edna shared her love with numerous nieces, nephews, friends and extended family, many of whom attended a visitation held from 10 to 11 a.m. Monday, May 5 in the chapel of Moody-Connolly Funeral Home in Brevard, N.C. The Rev. Guy Smith held a poignant service at 11 a.m. Her body was laid to rest beside her mother and father in the peaceful pre-Civil War family cemetery in Cedar Mountain, N.C.
